Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Energy Psychology is family of mind-body methods that rapidly reduce stress and trauma while increasing calm. It is evidenced based, cost effective and empowering for clients. EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique and is the most popular form of Energy Psychology.

Think of it as an emotional version of acupuncture. Instead of using needles, we stimulate meridian points on the face and body by using fingertips to tap gently on key acupuncture points. It works on the premise that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system. When our energy is flowing freely, we feel at our best. When it is blocked, either physically or emotionally, our mind and bodies become restricted, illness ultimately appears.

An EFT session focuses on both cognitive (mind) and somatic (body) stimulation releasing stress and anxiety, clearing blocks, traumas as well as limiting beliefs.

Benefits

EFT is a simple self-applied technique that can be used any time, anywhere, under any circumstances and by anyone. It applies to all negative emotions (anger, resentment, guilt, fear, sadness, shame), grief, physical pain, anxiety, phobias, addictive cravings, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), long term diseases and their side effects.

High Success Rate

EFT has a high success rate and it works ! It is scientifically proven that it helps people release and get rid of a wide range of emotional, physical and performance problems – PTSD, anxiety, phobias, depression, etc… All this happens without any medication or long drawn out therapy processes.

No Past Analysis

Unlike traditional therapy, EFT does not require an analysis of your past experiences. It simply looks at removing the disruptive energetic charge linked to the negative emotions. This technique has proven to reduce the conventional therapy process from months or years down to a short time, sometimes minutes.

Easy to use

EFT can be applied to just about any issue or trauma. Often when dealing with one aspect of a problem, many others simply disappear. Many people are surprised by collateral side benefits, sometimes completely unconscious and unrelated to what is being worked on.

Roger Callahan is the original founder of tapping techniques from the 1980s. He first developed this when he discovered that tapping on a specific meridian point on his client cleared her 30-year water phobia! In 1995, Callahan’s student, Gary Craig, an American Stanford engineering graduate specializing in healing and self-improvement, developed and simplified tapping using all the meridian points.
